If you have an Adobe .air file hosted on an apache2 webserver and download that .air package with Windows and IE, Windows will decide for you to change this to a .zip file. You need to explicitly tell the apache2 webserver machine to identify this as an Adobe Air file.
On the Apache2 machine, edit /etc/mime.types and put in this line:
